I painted the Absence of motion on the first day of winter - when frost came during the night and seized the nature. I find this moment very relieving as it encourages us to stop and enjoy the still moment in life. It also reminds me that although it is painful to let go, it is necessary to do so in order to be able to let the new things come to you.
